- INDIVIDUALS AND INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS (IFS) -
Many of the individuals I work with are carrying the impact of trauma, anxiety, difficult life experiences, or longstanding patterns that no longer serve them. Some are new to therapy. Others have spent years trying to understand themselves and create change, but they still find themselves pulled into reactivity and relationship struggles.
My work with individuals is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. IFS views all of us as naturally made up of different parts with protective strategies. Instead of fighting or suppressing difficult emotions, we work to understand the parts of you that developed and have been trying to help in the best ways they know how.
As these parts begin to feel safer and less burdened, many people experience more space from reactivity, increased choice, and a stronger connection to themselves.
Most individual therapy sessions are 75 minutes, allowing enough time to engage in deeper exploration, healing, and parts work.
- RELATIONSHIPS AND INTIMACY FROM THE INSIDE OUT (IFIO) -
Relationships can bring us face to face with our most vulnerable feelings. When protective parts become activated, partners can find themselves caught in cycles of conflict and disconnection. Even relationships with a strong foundation can struggle when these patterns begin to take over.
My work with relationships is grounded in Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO), an extension of Internal Family Systems designed for relationship therapy. Together, we identify the cycles that keep partners stuck, understand the protective parts driving reactivity, and create more space for curiosity, compassion, and connection.
Rather than focusing on blame or determining who is right, we work toward helping each person take responsibility for their own internal experience and communicate from a more grounded place. As partners learn to speak for their parts rather than be taken over by them, difficult conversations often become more productive, meaningful, and connecting.
I work with couples, partners, and polycules across a wide range of relationship structures, including monogamous, polyamorous, lifestyle, and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships.
Relationship therapy sessions are a minimum of 75 minutes for 2 partners, with 100 minute sessions available when additional time would be beneficial and as a minimum for 3 or more partners.
- WHO I SERVE -
I welcome individuals and relationships of all sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship structures, and family configurations.
I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and relationships, monogamous, polyamorous, lifestyle, ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, adoptees, adoptive parents, and family members whose lives have been touched by adoption.
I believe this is an environment where clients can explore their experiences, identities, relationships, and inner worlds with curiosity, authenticity, and compassion.
Whether you are seeking support for healing from trauma, navigating a life transition, strengthening your relationships, or developing a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down and listen to what your system is trying to communicate.
- INTENSIVES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND RELATIONSHIPS -
Therapy intensives offer an opportunity to engage in deeper, more focused work than is often possible within a traditional weekly therapy schedule.
Many people find that therapy intensives allow them to move through layers of protection, access deeper emotions, and make meaningful progress in a shorter period of time. Intensives can be particularly helpful for trauma work, relationship challenges, major life transitions, or situations where a concentrated period of support feels beneficial.
I offer 4 hour and 6 hour intensives for individuals and relationships, typically on Mondays and Fridays. Intensives may be used alongside ongoing therapy or as a stand alone service depending on your needs and circumstances.
- KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP) -
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy can support individuals and relationships who feel stuck in traditional therapy alone. When appropriate, ketamine may help create greater access to emotions, perspectives, and experiences that support healing and change.
KAP is not a replacement for therapy. Rather, it is a tool that can be integrated into the therapeutic process. Because ketamine can bring significant internal experiences to the surface, careful assessment and preparation are important. We begin by exploring your goals, discussing potential benefits and risks, and assessing whether this approach feels appropriate for you and your system.
Not everyone who explores KAP will ultimately decide to pursue it, and that decision is respected as part of the therapeutic process.
If we decide together to move forward, KAP follows a structured process that includes preparation, medicine sessions, and integration.
I offer consultation, preparation, and integration services for individuals and relationships exploring whether Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy may be a good fit for their goals.
- BACKGROUND -
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years raising my three children and later graduated with honors from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Denver Seminary. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Today, I provide Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy for individuals and Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO) relationship therapy for couples, partners, and polycules through in person sessions in Lakewood and via Telehealth throughout Colorado.
As a therapist, a wife of 25 years, and a biological and adoptive parent, I have a particular appreciation for the ways trauma, attachment, identity, belonging, and family relationships can shape our lives.
I remain actively engaged in consultation, professional development, advanced training, and the broader IFS community. I currently serve as a Program Assistant for Internal Family Systems trainings through the IFS Institute and as a member of the volunteer leadership team for Rocky Mountain IFS.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, practicing yoga, hiking, attending live music events, and taking advantage of all that Colorado has to offer.
